
Super Nova Coaches Super Nova has assembled a staff of experienced coaches dedicated to teaching players of all ages the skills and tactics needed to compete at the highest levels. Each player is afforded the opportunity to learn from coaches that have played at both the amateur and professional levels. Our coaches possess the ability to transfer their knowledge of the game to the young athletes that comprise Super Nova.Philosophy At Super Nova, all of our coaches work with all of our teams on a rotating basis. This enables each coach to bring unique skills and individual experiences to practices and game situations, and provides an enhanced learning environment. Niki Nikolic - Club Director and Head Coach Niki's early professional career began as a member of the Balkan Cup championship team in Radnicki, Yugoslavia, where he led his team to a 2-1 victory, scoring both goals and receiving a gold medal. He arrived in the United States in 1978 to play for the NASL Tulsa Roughnecks, and later the Philadelphia Fury. His playing career continued indoors, playing two seasons with the MISL Philadelphia Fever and Baltimore Blast. He was a member of the Kansas City Comets' 1984 play-off team and served as their assistant coach from 1986-1988. Niki became head coach of the expansion franchise Hershey Impact in September of 1988, exceeding all expectations by leading a young team, comprised largely of rookies, to the NPSL play-offs for two consecutive years. In 1994, Niki founded Super Nova F.C. Additional Coaching Staff Chris Hultquist Chris is a 1996 graduate of Robert Morris University with a degree in Sports Management. A four year starter who played every game of his college career, Chris led his team to two NCAA Division I tournament appearances. He was named a Regional All-American in 1996. Chris played professional soccer with the Reading Rage and the Harrisburg Heat. Dan Detzel Dan played collegiate soccer at West Chester University. J.T. Dorsey J.T. is a graduate of Loyola University where he roomed with MLS All-Star goalkeeper Zach Thornton. He played professionally with the A-League Hershey Wildcats, Reading Rage and currently plays for the City Islanders. Adam Zelezic Adam is a former professional player and coach from Yugoslavia. Brian Pink Brian is a Nova alumnus and former Cumberland Valley standout. He currently plays for and attends the University of Maryland, Baltimore, County. John Lapore John is a graduate of Kutztown University, a member of the Harrisburg City Islanders and former Super Nova player. LeAnna Hultquist LeAnna has played for and graduated from Robert Morris University. |
